Apology Accepted

Since my last post the "naughty boy" has apologised, and has realised he had been a very silly boy. So no harm done and I'm not one to hold grudges - case closed! Here's a nice pic to take the bad taste away

Everybody Loves Kaiju (but some a little too much!)

I feel the need to write this blog post as although imitation is the sincerest form of flattery it disturbs me to think one of my poor (200+) Kaiju plushes may have been harmed (unpicked) in the making of this guy's Flickr set. And it's not just my work, I can see a lot of similarities to other people's work too but don't just take my word for it take a look for yourself. He even puts his labels in the same place I do!
My Kaiju -

His "Kaiju kopies" -

I feel really sad having to do this. This guy describes himself as an "emerging British talent" in fact he even emailed me to ask about materials! I have contacted him to give him a chance to put his side across but he ignored me and has since removed these from his shop but they're still on his Flickr site. I won't name and shame him (although I already have on Twitter. Oops) but he knows who he is.

All I Want Is Egg and Chips

Jon Burgerman hasn't had a fried egg for years (poor thing!) and has been going on about egg and chips for a while. So I made him an egg for Chipmas.

I know it's a little late but seeing as Halloween is approaching but I thought it was quite appropriate.

Mad Hatter

My contribution to the "Go Ask Alice" show at Paul Cumes Fine Art, Santa Barbara.

I think he's got a bit of a "Deadwood" feel to him. Must have been in my subconscious as I've been watching the series recently. Hopefully, his language won't be as salty!

Draw Serge? Nah, Stitch Serge!

Here's my tribute to the late, great Serge Gainsbourg. He's sort of a cross between another great French character, Gaston Lagaffe, with a touch of Sesame Street's the Count mixed in for good measure. The lovely Mr Jonathan Edwards, my very special friend, has a great blog called "Draw Serge" filled with great drawn tributes to Serge. As I can't draw I got him to change it to "Stitch Serge" just for me (although I'm sure he can have his arm twisted by any other stitchers wanting to take part).

The show is on until of the 27th of September and is well worth a visit thanks to the hard work of Lisa and Michelle, the organisers, and all the talented artists.
